95 ds pot box help
I have a 95 DS. Batteries are good, solenoid is good.
When you press the pedal it does nothing. The solenoid clicks and the cart don’t go. I have messed with the pedal to find a sweet spot where the cart will go but it is only in 1 spot. Going from memory I removed the yellow and green wires from the controller and hooked up my dvm. I have 25 ohms with no pedal and it fluctuates fron 24-25 through the travel of the pedal. When the pedal gets to the spot where the cart would run it is anywhere from 1.5 to 3 ohms. Thinking the pot box is bad but looking for 2nd opinions since it has been a while since I have messed with one of these. |

Re: 95 ds pot box help
Try operating the pot box lever about 30-40 times with the key off...and retest.

Re: 95 ds pot box help
'95 DS is most likely a Multi-Step Potentiometer (between batteries) - or the old under gas pedal original CVP (continuously variable potentiometer). That is....unless it was upgraded to MCOR.

Re: 95 ds pot box help
You either have:
1) the pie-shaped thing in the attached drawing (page 1) situated between batteries under the seat 2) The CVP potentiometer located under your floorboard near the pedal 2nd page of attached. Both can be removed, examined and serviced (if that is your problem) - which do you have? These may not be exactly your wiring diagrams because you did not specify whether you have a sepex (rocker switch for F&R) or series (large shift lever) cart. But your POT will be one of these. |

Re: 95 ds pot box help
A 1995 series CC has a V-glide potentiometer. At least the many I’ve seen do.
