Default Club Car Precedent Upgrades

I recently purchased a 2014 precedent with a 300 alltrax controller and 8 gauge wires. I put 10 inch rims with 18 inch A/T tires on it with no lift. The cart will see limited use at our farm just running across fields and gravel roads. No crazy terrain. I also use it around town taking my kids to community events, school, parks etc.

Currently getting 19mph on the flats and 14 on some uphills. I would like to get the cart to 22-23 on the flats. What would you do if this were your cart? Solenoid? 2 gauge wires?

If that is an XCT controller, you should be getting more than that with the stock motor. But I would toss the 8 awg cables and go with 2 awg for sure... (although that is not going to increase your speed per se)

Agreed, if You have an Alltrax XCT, set the maximum RPM to 5,600rpm and that will allow up to 24mph.

Also make sure they loaded the motor map for the stock Motor: EJ4-4001-V9

Hopefully the 8awg was a guess or typo, the stock is 6awg which is adequate for that Controller if the cables are in good shape.

If You are going to be doing a lot of partial throttle driving, upgrading the cables that go to the motor to 2awg will help with efficiency.

Go to alltraxinc.com & download the 'Toolkit' software. Connect to the XCT and see if the throttle is going to 100% and the rpm limit is set to 6000. If yes check your battery condition by saving and reviewing a 'monitor' file while running the cart with the laptop connected. I have this cart with a XCT300 installed, 22-23 mph is expected.
