Another battery charging issue
So, my batteries have been disconnected sitting on a piece of wood for about 4 months while I do my speedy restoration ('98 48v CC). I wired them together using a combo of my 4ga and 6ga cables (still making 4ga cables... long story) and got a reading of 48.5v across the pack. Got nervous since they have been sitting so long and the voltage is at about 50%. Put all the wires back correctly (through OBC to stock controller, etc) or at least I think they are (I have a wiring diagram). The PB-6 is not connected. My LED battery indicator has been falling steadily. It's at the yellow light second from the last light whereas it was second from the top yesterday and green (BU battery indicator...old purchase before I knew better). Plugged in the charger and it started out like usual, kicked in at about 13amps. About 45 sec later it shut off. Did the same thing about three times in a row after I unplugged it and tried again. So I left it plugged in. After 5 min it kicked on for about 1 minute or so then shut off. Did this a couple times so far about 5 min apart. Reading across the pack 50.5 (8.47,8.45,8.31,8.52,8.41,8.44). There's no way that's right. Any ideas? The batteries were charging and running just fine before I disassembled it all. Water levels are all above the plates.

Re: Another battery charging issue
Just ran into that myself, charger would not shut off. Cart had been sitting all winter. Drove the cart around for awhile, plugged in and its all good now. Can't explain it, but life is good.
