2004 CC DS not moving but clicking.
So I bypassed the OBC by disconnecting the black wire that comes from the OBC to the back of the charging plug and then jumping a wire form that post to the battery negative post. Didn't get any movement.
with everything connected I get the solenoid clicking but no movement. I tested pins 2 &3 and on the 16 pin connector and got 1,050 ohms to 1,100 ohms with pedal depressed. When I press the pedal I get a little over 8,000 ohms. Does all this mean that I have a bad Controller (model # 1510-5201) Thanks! Andrew |

Re: 2007 CC president not moving but clicking.
Bypassing that way is to test your charger for operation in case you had a bad OBC and it was not triggering it to start. You would have also needed the sense wire there too.
Are you sure the main solenoid is closing in and power is transferring over to the other big post? Need to double check that with your meter. |

Gotcha. Okay, how do I do that? Just black lead on negative and then red on big post? and then press pedal down.
If that checks out then what? |

Re: 2007 CC president not moving but clicking.
Okay, key off I'm getting 40.4v on big yellow wire post.
Key on I'm getting 45.7v on it. hen when I press the pedal it goes to 48v+??? Last fall the solenoid was stuck. Got it unstuck. Maybe the solenoid malfunctioned and fried the Controller? |

Re: 2007 CC president not moving but clicking.
Jack the car up to be safe, key on, rocker switch on Forward. The big post with the red cable coming from the main pack positive should show full pack voltage when you apply your red lead there and the black lead to the main negative on the pack. If you move your red lead over to the other large post it should be 1 to 1.5 volts or so less than pack voltage. Then when you depress the Go Pedal, it should go to full pack voltage and you should here a loud click where it closed in. If you get the click and the voltage does not come up then the solenoid did not close in. If you do not get the click it may be the MCOR holding you out.
And if your pack is fully charged it should be 50+ volts as you need 50.9 to be 100% charged. |

Re: 2007 CC president not moving but clicking.
Okay, so it sounds like my Solenoid is fine then. I getting 45.7 before click and 47-48v after click.
SO if solenoid is good. Could it be the FNR switch maybe? I'm still trying to get a full hold on the wiring basics. Thanks |

Re: 2007 CC president not moving but clicking.
How much power should I get out of each of the wires coming from the FNR switch?
I'm only getting millivolts whether the pedal is up or down. |

Re: 2007 CC president not moving but clicking.
Yes, it is a Sepex drive unit so you have the rocker switch (all the high power switching is done in the controller, not like Series that is through the FNR switch), run/tow switch, speed sensor, etc. If your rocker switch was bad, the solenoid would not have engaged
Do you get the reverse buzzer when you place it in reverse? Does it have resistance when you manually push or pull it? (Run/Tow switch must be in Run for this test. |

Re: 2007 CC president not moving but clicking.
After the above, if you want to check output to the motor do as before; Jack the cart up to be safe, key switch On, rocker switch in Forward. Take you meter and with the red lead to A-1 (green cable) and black lead to A-2 (white cable) and then slightly depress the Go Pedal. When you hear the MCOR click, you should get ~5v and then gradually going up as you are pressing down the pedal to full pack voltage when fully depressed or to the floor.
