Fault (code) 1,3 Curtis 1268-5403
I need help..... Golf cart quit. It is getting code 1,3 (speed sensor). I replaced the speed sensor (the old one had a cracked magnet) and still no go. The sensor is getting 14.56 V on red wire and the green fluctuates between 0V and 5V wheel turning rear wheel. This I think is as it should be.
The soleniod gives the proper 54 V when the pedal is pressed. When the pedal is released the voltage drops off to 9V over a minute and half and stays at 9V. This doesn't seem correct to me. I am puzzled. Is my problem the controller or should I try replacing the solenoid. The solenoid is a Curtis SW80B-156. I did bench test it and it appeared OK. |

You’ve either got a solenoid problem or and MCOR/ throttle issue. Solenoids tend to be more on or off and not much in between. Does the solenoid click on and off?

Yes it does. It clicks on then when the pedal is released it clicks off after a few seconds. How does on check the MCOR?
