I take it this meter only has the one decimal place to the right too? I want to install a meter, but I want 2-decimal places.

@$@#@#%!

Meter tested okay at 12V (at home). Took it up to the camp, made a template from a decor wall plate and then cut the carbon fiber dash (installation looks great btw), and then wired the unit. Was 100% certain to double check that DIP 4 was 'OFF/DOWN' to specify discrete ground.

ZAP!

Meter is toast.. showing odd segments on the display. I just want a working meter :(

Sort of... it was my third crap meter, so I used the connections I had made to wire in a DMM inside the glovebox for now... now I have to email and complain.

Anyone know of another meter with the same footprint (or slightly larger) that we could order instead. I would have rather spent $70 on a meter that worked the first time.

Come to think of it, a friend of mine repairs forklifts etc. Let me see if he has any suggestions, since I'm sure they use these things.

Rhino.

got my meter in and had the electrial guys check it here at work. They say it is good.
You do have to have a 5 volt feed to power it, but they put some kind of a do-hickey on it and all is good.

I purchased the 12V input model... feed it from my reducer with discrete ground.

I don't see why the inputs are blowing the meter, they're supposed to read up to 200VDC.

Are these crapping out from the 12v feed, as opposed to 5v?.....

And Pullit.....is that a metric or imperial do-hickey?....*L*.......What kinda do-hickey did they install?

12V 'power' doesn't seem to be an issue... the meter operates fine and is quite happy there... can even read other 12V sources without issue. When I meter (inputs) more than 12V it zaps itself.
