Default bad speed sensor?

stock 03 IQ cart. speed dropped yesterday from 14 to 8 mph, 50.4 volts on meter
no regen braking when i lift the go pedal, i did the push test and have no resistance. back up alarm is disconnected.
did i lose my speed sensor? i believe the cart is in safe mode

i leave my cart outside most of the time, charge inside and park inside when i have either truk out
the motor, obc and controller are very dusty, not muddy or water stained, like the battery area
we've had a lot of rain this past week, mocor and f/n/r switch got very wet
i don't think water is the problem, just pointing out the fact that the cart is outside 80% of the time

few pics of my motor, can't tell what type it is
best pic of speed sensor i could get, sunlight on concrete was washing out the pic

You have a GE motor. https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com

Contact this guy to get a new OEM sensor. His name is David.

great... i have the expensive sensor
thou this cart has given me zero problems in the last 7 years other than charger rebuild and new batteries last year
and tahoedawg sold me a repair kit for the charger

other than grey color how do you know the motor is ge?
i figured it'd have ge somewheres on the tag
what's involved in changing out the speed sensor?
and since i'm in there is this a good time to change out the magnet?

The flat speed sensor is a give away that it is a GE motor. To change it just use a screw to pop it off and unplug the pig tail connector. Some of them have a screw clamp holding the wires. To change the magnet you need a paint can opener or similar tool to pry the old magnet out.. No screws holding it. It is just pushed on. Get sensor and speed magnet from David. If you talk to him he will explain how to change them.

Check the magnet for sure to make sure it's not broken. If it is, replace it. I recommend a high speed magnet as it's more readily available and cheaper than a replacement OEM magnet. The sensor is the GE sensor. To remove it, just insert a screwdriver under the tab that's turned towards the back of the cart and pop it out. The new one will snap in.

I have a 05' club car precedent. Cart takes off at high speed then drops to about half speed or less within a couple of seconds. Had it checked out and was told batteries, Same issue with BRAND new batteries. Is this a speed sensor issue?

And/Or an MCOR issue. (Probably want to start your own thread so it does not clutter this one up if you still need help)
