Default 98 Club Car Light Diagram

Stop lights (bright filament) on at all times except when Park brake applied. Running lights appear to be okay. When applying brake to stop, no additional light/filament comes on. Can you post a light diagram or identify my problem? Thanks, John

Sounds like your brake light SWITCH is staying engaged all the time. Check it and actuate to make sure. It's the one under the floor at the base of the pedal. These are usually "micro switches" and they have little travel from one position to the other. Welcome to the forum.

Hi. I know there are two micro switches, one that opens when you push on the brake and one in series before that which somehow breaks power when the cart is not powered(otherwise the brake lights would be on every time the park brake was engaged). I am trying to figure exactly where that micro switch goes on my cart.
If you haven't touched anything it probably is the switch stuck9mounted bottom side of cart above brake arm)
Hope this rambling helps!

Do you realize you dug up a thread that is 1 1/2 years old. I hope that problem is fixed by now

Are you also asking how the brake switches work??? If you need help with the brake switches, tell what year and model cart you have

I have 95 CC DS Gas model.
Do you have a break light wiring diagram? Where can I find installation instructions?
Can I break a hot wire via ignition key switch instead of using second micro switch, so break light will be off in park?

I solved the factory brake lighty switch problem by installing a 1949 chev truck brake light switch and wiring it through my regular key switch with an extra solenoid comtroling my 12 volt battery supply. Some Club Cars come with 2 switches, one to turn brake lights ON and one to cancel the other switch when parking brake is applied. I find this setup hard to keep adjusted so I opted for a different approch?
