2006 Precedent won’t charge
I have a 48v 06 electric Precedent that will not charge. (It sat for a few months untouched) I’ve researched and done a lot of the troubleshooting ideas I found but I can’t get the charger to start when it’s plugged in here’s what all I’ve done so far
I charged each battery separately out of sequence up to 12v I tried a different battery charger Tried bypassing the relay on the charger. Bypassed the obc. Anything else I could check? Could corrosion cause the issue? What connections should I check? Is there somewhere I can check overall voltage Besides at the battery posts? |

If that doesn't work, tell us how you bypassed the OBC. (And that sounds like the 3/8 amp sense fuse in the yellow bullet holder, too)

Re: 2006 Precedent won’t charge
Ok here’s what I’ve done since the previous post. I checked the fuse that was hanging (im posting a pic as I’m hoping it’s the correct one) and it was good. I cleaned the main positive terminal on the chain as it was fairly corroded (pic is attached too) It has an almost acorn like cap unlike the others but it seems to be connected snugly. Here’s something that’s odd to me, I check the voltage across the pack and I’m getting a reading of 43v and if I check at the charging port I get 33v any clue what would cause this or is it normal. I checked my volts on each of the four batteries and 3 are just shy under 11 and one is right under 10. IMG_9047.jpgIMG_9046.jpg

If that were my cart, I would remove all those battery cables clean the battery post and replace those cables with new ones made of welding cable not auto battery cables. Change the eyelet on the small wires going to the batteries.

2006 Precedent won’t charge
The first battery is the only one with smaller cable. All remaining ones are heavier. But yes that will be my next step is pull each battery one by one out and clean them well at the very least.IMG_9048.jpg
