Unless he is measuring ACROSS the switch.
Measure to the input (switch Odd) using Common Ground,
then measure output (switch ON) using Common Ground,
This should be (48+Volts + 12+Volts = 60+Volts) with SW off (GOT to be ) !!!
Guessing again here... (Extractor?)

He tied the accessory 12V battery positive "in" to one terminal, and the positive "out" to another terminal,
and read 12V across the switch from another terminal with a bleed through ground...

he didn't use a common ground from his pack, to read the 48V going to the switch.

Easy mistake... been there, done that!

Yes! Now if you can just point out the next problem I'll have before it happens since you are 2-for-2 so far!

Wait until I start taking pics of this thing. I should post them before driving off for the fitst time so I have a better chance of making it back! (cue pic of cart burnt to a crisp)

Not a bad idea... the insurance company might need pictures as well if it does go poof...

I'm sure you'll have it running real smooth... real soon!

Thanks, guys... everyone has been a great help here! I'm trying to do it all myself and do it right, safety first. Plus, if my wife and daughter get stranded on the other side of the nighborhood I'll never hear the end of it!!
