Default Cart only running half speed full charge?

My cart is only running half the speed that it should. It had been running top speed around 13mph and now it’s around 7.5mph. I measured battery voltage on each battery I had 12.6 on each one. Batteries are brand new just bought last month. The obc has been bypassed due to not taking charge. Only other problem I have seen is the solenoid is not picking up every time I try to run the cart have to play with it some to get it going once it goes it’s fine. Not sure how to really check to see if battery’s are putting out the 48v. If there is a way to check this let me know. Have 4 12v interstate batteries. Any help would be great if I can’t get it figured out back to the shop to get looked at hate to waste money if there might be a easy fix. Also when charging have been letting charger get to about 5 dc Amos and stops there.

Are you "letting it " get to 5 amps and unplugging it or is it cutting off on its own?

Two things can cause cart to run at half speed. One is the speed sensor on the end of the motor. With key on push cart and it should resist rolling and beep at you. If it don't ,bad speed sensor. The other is a sticking solenoid. If the main contacts are stuck close the cart goes into limp mode, half speed.

In either case get parts if needed from revolution carts site sponsor David Hicks.

It usually get to 5 amps and I let it sit little while longer and it never drops any lower so I unplug it since I don’t have the obc to kick it off don’t want to over charge and hurt the batteries.

The solenoid sounds like it could be my problem for sure. It’s been giving me problems for sure. I can hear the micro sw at the pedal working but the solenoid under the seat doesn’t pick up every time. Also I’ll try the speed sensor check thanks for the suggestions!

You are a good candidate for a DPI smart charger, forget the OBC.

Ok I tried pushing the cart and with it in neutral I rolled it backwards and it did beep at me. Now rolling forwards it never beeped not sure if it is suppose to or not though.

It should beep in forward as well as reverse. Your speed sensor is bad.

Revolution Golf Carts as already mentioned. No Ebay or Amazon crap or you'll be going through this again in a couple of months.
