Re: taking batterys out for new bracket?
You can disconnect any battery you need to and pull it (they weight 50-60lbs ea.) if you want. as soon as you disconnect any cable, you break the circuit and nothing is there (volts) to burn anything. I recommend turn off the key, and remove the negative post nearest the controller first. At that point you can do whatever you need to. Pull them all out if you need to. I would try to angle iron, drill holes if you can (or weld)and bolt it where it needs to go. Remember your batteries are HOT and dont short out accross the terminals. Good Luck.

Follow your charger wires. Disconnect atleast one of battery post that connect them to disconnect the pack. Then go ahead and remove as many batteries as needed. BUT, first make a drawing of the battery layout and connections + and -

Re: taking batterys out for new bracket?
thanks you guys... you think it would be better to put in angle in, or just add a piece across damage spot a few inches passed bad part.. so what battery would be closest to controller 3 and 4?

Re: taking batterys out for new bracket?
The repair you are talking about is typical of every 10 to 20 yr old CC. you must go replace the corroded aluminum angle brace to do it right. What you suggest would not help.... Iwill look for some pics....HERE you can see the repair in the back of this V-glide pic
