Default 96 club car just quit

Hello everyone, I have 96 club car and was crusing yesterday when it just went dead. The batteries are fine and when I pit it in reverse the buzzer still sounds but nothing. Could it be a bad cylinoid? The cables all seem fine also. Thank's in advance.

Does the solenoid click when you press the accelerator pedal?

Do you see any corrosion on any of the terminals or connections? If so, remove and clean all the connections one by one. It takes just one connection to cause what you are describing, but usually speaking, if one needs it, the rest could use it too, then treat connections with grease or protectant. Now you have eleimnated that possibility.

You can field test the solenoid by installing a heavy jumper wire accross it and try to run. If the cart runs one of two problems exist

Sorry, I did not get back on here sooner. I have been busy.
Scottyb I put a jumper wire on the solioned and it did run. Does that mean the solioned is bad? Thank's for the help.

Ken, There are two small posts and two large posts on the solenoid.
With key on, and I like to put them on jackstands also, push pedal and check two small posts for current. If key switch and micros are working, one will have voltage the other will show ground. That means solenoid is bad.

If no voltage to solenoid then you have a broken wire, bad key switch or bad micro in the circuit that feeds the solenoid.

Sorry, you could also just run a jumper wire from the battery pack to the voltage side (not the ground side) small post on the solenoid to test it.
If it clicks there is a circuit issue, if it doesn't, bad solenoid.
