Default Jerky 2009

David, quick question for you. 2009 precedent put new Trojans in couple of months ago. Everything fine. Last couple of weeks after fully charged, take the cart out and at verrrrrry slow speed I am getting a jerky motion almost like a gasser running out of fuel. Mid range and wide open (speed code 4) cart runs great. Almost seems like once the batteries start discharging the jerky motion get better. Any thought or suggestions.
Thanks Don

Does it have a TPS on it or has it been converted to MCOR? It sounds like a throttle device issue for sure. If it has a TPS on it, you need to update it to an MCOR4 regardless if this is causing the problem or not. They are a safety hazard and can result in a runaway cart if they fail. If you replace it with the MCOR4 and the problem goes away then that's great. If it's still surging, we'll keep digging. What's the vehicle serial number?

Dave, already to Mcor 4 some time back. Its weird, everything has been fine then all of a sudden this jerky nonsense. The cart is at my weekend home so while I am gone, I have it on a 48v battery tender.

Sounds like an MCOR issue. The serial number is irrelevant at this point. I was trying to determine if it was IQ or Excel so I could let you know whether or not you needed a throttle adapter. If you've already converted to MCOR4 it doesn't matter. I'm sure it was already addressed in the past. I've found that more people experience a higher rate of MCOR failures when they leave their carts sitting for long periods of time with no use. Very rarely do these issues happen on golf courses where they're used every day on a 4 year lease. I don't have a previous invoice from you showing an MCOR4. The only thing I see is a speed sensor from last May. Did you buy an OEM one or did you buy the Chinese knock-off one?

OEM from the local cc dealer here in town. The cart is used every weekend when I get down to the coast. As mentioned earlier, it seems if I leave it off the charger for a couple of days and let the batteries discharge some the problem is not quite as bad but it could be I am just thinking the problem is better!!!! A brain is a terrible thing to waste.

Keep an eye on it. If it gets worse you may need to replace it again.

Sounds good. Or you can order it from the site and it'll ship tomorrow. I find myself nowhere near a computer most of the time during the day.
