Default Rear axle removal

89 ds.. trying to put on these new brake assemblies and can't figure this thing out..

You have to pull the axles out. You need 90 degree C-Clip pliers to remove the C-Clip against the outer axle bearing. Once the clip is released the axle will slide out and you can remove the old brake clusters. The ones I sent you will bolt right in, in place of the old ones. Then you can re-install the axle.

Go it all taken care of.. tahoedawg thank you again .. Nole the bearings were good but stuck to the axle lol.. had to use a slide hammer to get them out .. but shes all together and i finally have brakes. Thanks again guys !

Oh Man. I just found this thread as I am scratching my head trying to figure out how to remove the rear axles to replace brake assemblies. Thanks guys..this answers my questions perfectly..now off to the store for a set of c clip pliers. Thanks again..great site!!

Good to hear.

Don't skimp on the C-clip pliers; get quality ones or you'll be fighting with that clip for a while.
