Default Club car part number for lug stud

I purchased a stud manufactured by "Stens" that was said to fit all 82 and up Club Cars. However, I tried spinning a few of my lugs onto it and they all stop about half way. I assume the lugs should spin freely to the end of the stud.

Can anyone confirm the correct part number needed? I have a 2003 Club Car DS IQ

The one I purchased was Stens 416-112 (Club Car# 103477901).

Thanks!

Your trying to attach a the stud to the hub?

Easiest way is to use a bolt and a washer to pull the stud through the hub to set it via use of a impact wrench etc.

At least I think that is what you are trying to do.

Sorry - that came off as a little confusing...

Background - I have a stud that broke loose whenever I was loosening a lug nut. I have yet to cut it off but figure I will destroy both the lug and the stud whenever I do. With that said, I bought a new stud and 4 new lug nuts. Both were advertised as being for Club Cars.

I decided to do a test fit of the lug and stud to make sure there were no issues. I tried just holding the stud in my hand and spinning a new lug nut on, but it stops before the lug is completely on. I thought well maybe I got a bad lug, so I tried the other 3 and encountered the same thing.

At this point I'm wondering if I bought the wrong stud, or maybe it's just defective. I tried cleaning/examine the threads but see no obvious issues. I'm assuming the lugs should spin freely on all the way until the end.

It is probably just the taper on the thread. If it made it one full nuts length on the stud, then you are fine as the TPI (threads per inch) is correct. If it did not get thru the nut/lug, then you may have a bad cut on one or the other.

When I had a stud spin, I drilled it out and replaced it with a stud from a cub cadet mower.
