Kawasaki axle year?

Trying to figure out an approximate year range that a Kawasaki made rear axle would have been in a DS cart. The cart this came from was a 98, but I'm not sure if this axle was original to the cart.
This one was making a LOT of gear noise last year so I yanked it out and swapped with another axle assembly from another 98 DS that I retired and was stripping for parts. It got shoved in the storage room and I forgot it was in there until now. The donor axle was a graziano, but it bolted in the same.

I'd like to try to rebuild the Kawasaki axle (needs input shaft and probably all the bearings and gears inside, haven't opened it up just yet) but I'm having a difficult time determining if this was the original axle to the cart, and if not, what year this axle Should have come from so I can attempt to order parts for it.
Any help? Was there a year that CC stopped using the Kawasaki axle in favor of the Graziano? (or vice versa) Or did they just mix and match when one supplier cut them a price break?

Lockman1 or Crash Test Dummy both had that information posted the other day. I do not recall the years but it was like 89 through 91 or something like that. But either one of them should be able to give it to you. I believe one of them posted a schematic with all the parts or diagram on it.

Tried searching for that and just not finding it. Search earlier didn't turn up anything conclusive on the axle either, just that there are a few for sale on eBay... On the other side of the country.

I recently posted that the Type K transaxles were used in both sparky's and gassers for a while.

Don't quote me with the exact dates on this...
It's to my understanding that Club Car mostly used the Type K (Kawasaki) transaxles from 1986 to around 2004, the parts are the same throughout the years.

The Type G (Graziano) transaxles were a back up transaxle, and were used sporadically from around 1999 to late 2003. (I heard that Kawasaki couldn't keep up with production.)

Pretty much anyone that works on CC sparky's regularly will have much more experience with them than I do!

Dealer says parts for these old Kawasaki Axles are NLA. Can get bearings, but no gears.
They sell a complete (minus brakes) replacement transaxle for $1500.

Do you have to have stock gears? Will 8:1 due?

I'd get a 2 speed axle from Axles, Inc. before paying $1500 for a stripped, stock axle.

I'd rather not have the high speed gears. We have some pretty steep hills, and I don't need a reason for our drivers to go faster on the carts.

Where is this axles inc place? Feel like I need to check them out.
