Default Which Speed/Torque Controller 08 Precedent

I am pondering the idea of upgrading the controller in my 2008 Club Car Precedent 48v with Serial starting with PQ..It has the GE motor and currently does about 14-16mph and has excellent torque. It has new 12v batteries and they last FOREVER on a full charge. I have no plans on upgrading the motor because I have an ezgo PDS 36v as my main cart. Would a controller alone get me 25mph and more torque? Thanks in advance.

Check out the Alltrax XCT48300. Is plenty on a stock motor, will add some torque and get you in mid 20’s top speed.

Will a 300 amp controller be enough? I was thinking at least 400.. I believe I have the factory Curtis 275a controller.. I’m only running 18” dirt A/T tires and I don’t want to lift this one. Eventually I do want to get a rear seat.. not sure if any of that matters.

The 300 has an instant peak of 350. Either way, I’d reach out to Dave at revolution or Scott at carts unlimited (both site sponsors) and get their input. They will know which one will best suit your needs.
