Default Deluxe Light Kit- Power Loss at Brake Timer

I have a Double Take Deluxe Light Kit on a 2007 Precedent. The brake light timer has failed. I thought I would simply take a aftermarket brake light pad and replace the timer kit. When I pulled the floor board out I find that I have no power at the wires for the brake light coming from the light kit wiring harness. The headlights work, taillights work, turn signals work. The Brake lights are the only component not working. Any suggestions?

Default Deluxe Light Kit- Power Loss at Brake Timer

I would contact doubletake...I’ve gotten electrical components that were faulty from them in the past and they just simply replace it.

Default Re: Deluxe Light Kit- Power Loss at Brake Timer

Thank you! This light kit has actually been on the cart for a cpl of years. I was just trying to figure out why that one leg of the harness lost power. I have resolved the issue by simply running a positive wire straight from the battery to feed the brake pad but curiosity killed the cat!
