Default Non-slip seat covers?

My dog's favorite thing in the world is to ride in the golf cart. He stands next to me in the front passenger seat but has a tough time not sliding off when I have to hit the brakes or have to make a turn. Tonight he actually fell out. Luckily he's okay and I think I'm more traumatized than he is.

So, do you guys have any ideas on how I can provide him some traction? Does anyone make custom seat covers using some kind of non-slip, durable, waterproof material? I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks!

Why not just put a piece of the perforated rubber shelf liner on his side of the seat?

I use this when I work on the cart. It was on amazon for around $20. The other side is a waterproof black polyester. So they cloth Gray side down will give you a little non slip action, along with the seat handle cut outs. And you can wash it.

LIKE IT!!! Looks perfect for when my pants are dirtier than the dog. Old towels don't always stay put especially when windy.

Rubber mat from Lowes. In the flooring section and on a roll so you can cut as much or as little as necessary.

Thanks guys. I ended up going to Lowe's and bought the mat. It's super ugly but it seems to help. I'll probably get some custom seat covers made one day and will see what options are available.

BTW, I take my dog for a ride everyday and all I have to do is say "golf cart", and this is where I'll find him...

Text me and let me know where you got this. I want some for my shop to use on customer cars so my greasy @$$ doesn't mess them all up.

I’m going to have to try the front seat for my dog. I used to take her everyday for a jeep ride and she loved it. All anyone had to say was jeep and she got all excited and ran for it. I sold the Jeep and figured she would love the golf cart just as much. But after a few bumpy rides with no soft material on the fold down bed, she doesn’t like the cart. I opened the garage and said golf cart ride and she ran for the house. Poor thing. I’ve since cut some gym flooring squares to fit back there, but she is still a little tense on the rides. So if it ever quits raining, I’m trying the front seats.
