Default How To Tell if Alltrax XCT is Bad

If it powers on with the laptop cord and the tool kit does that mean it's good or could it still be bad? Been trying to get it working and have voltage to the tan wire in the 16 pin connector but the led won't turn on and the cart won't do anything. Just curious. It's a 2007 Precedent.

What is the status of your OBC - Still installed and working or been bypassed?

Since it powers up go to the monitor screen and see if you got any errors.

I think he is just getting programming power via the printer cable and is still missing the input power from the circuitry - not sure it will let it show anything yet.... (Worth a try)

When I plug into the controller with the tool kit while hooked up it goes crazy. Just flashes all sorts of stuff.

For starters I would try it in standalone mode by disconnecting all cable from it except the USB and see if it works right(program wise). PS don't forget to disconnect batteries and tape all expose wires you disconnect.

Is this on a cart that has been running or is this a new install?

I installed and it was running fine for about a day. I changed the cables to 2ga cables and now it won't run. I've double and triple checked all connections and am at a loss. If I could get it to power on I could trouble shoot through the tool kit but can't get that far. I just didn't want keep looking for an issue if the controller itself was bad so I figured if I could rule that out first I would.

The screen shot shows the charger plugged in - cart should not run with the charger plugged in?

There was no charger plugged in but I saw that error too. I tried to bypass the OBC as well to see if that got me anywhere but it did not.

I sent an email to Alltrax with the video and they said "the motor current at -303.6 amps which is a good indication that the armature hall sensor has failed inside the controller." They gave me an RMA number so I'll send it in and have them check it out. I'll let you know what they find out.
