Default 97 club cart rearend noise

Hi guy's had a rearend noise on my 97 cart it was a clicking noise . After searching out and talking to this forum found out that it was the guide ring on the motor. I replaced the guide ring and was as quiet as a mouse for a few day's but now the noise is back same noise as before so Im guessing it's the guide ring again. I pulled the motor again to replace the guide ring again. What would make the guide ring go so fast. I bought the ring from club car and used loctite to glue in place and let sit a couple of day's and than I put back in and worked great for a few day's . Could the spline on the motor or input shaft be worn and this is making the guide ring wear . Could it be that there was not enough loctite on the gear when I installed . Im just searching for any answers now. Thanks for any input. Ron

Hi yes I put back the snap ring . I glued the new guide ring with loctite adhivsive that I bought from club car . Put back the motor and it was perfect for a few day's. I did some testing on my street and yard for maybe a total of a couple of hours when I heard the clicking noise comming back. The more I drove the louder it was getting . I also notice that while it was clicking my speed droped way off, it felt like it was slipping. Is the guide ring the only part of the spline that turns the armature? you would think that the rest of the spline on the motor thats lower than the guide ring woud be meshing enough with the input shaft spline to keep it from slipping. I must not be seeing something. If the guide ring for some reason was spinnig in the motor spline under load would this cause the cart to slip ? would'nt the rest of the spline be enough to keep it from slipping. Has anyone every seen the spline on the motor or imput shaft wear to the point that it would slip. Sorry for the long post I just really have no idea. Thanks Ron
