Default New Rear Leaf or HD Leaf's?

I recently lifted my 2008 club car precedent with a 6" lift kit.

I'm running 23" tires and they are rubbing on the rear fender.

I already trimmed a bunch off the rear fender, but it still rubs when 4-adults are riding on it. If I keep trimming, I will end up with an odd looking fender. The rubbing happens only when I'm turning on to another street.

I suspect the rear leafs may be old and worn out. I'm debating on replacing them with new ones or should I be looking at HD springs? My fear of HD springs is the ride may be rougher than I want when its just me or a 2nd passenger riding.

Your advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

FWIW, yes, your rear springs stand a good chance of having sagged after ten years. If your tires are rubbing with a properly installed 6" lift.

Try the dual action springs as some call them. Essentially a standard spring pack with an overload leaf shaped to engage the main spring when it is compressed by a load. Much like what is used on pickup trucks and similar vehicles.

I would check with our sponsors first. If it isn't on their website give them a call.

So I finally received my new set of Dual Action leafs.

Thanks David @ https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/ for the quick turnaround.

I have them opened up and just decided to measure the distance between the hinges and the clamp bolt. The distances are unequal, which leads me to think these are supposed to be mounted in a certain way.

Can someone tell me which direction these mount in?

The same as your OEM springs likely. Measure them and you should have your answer.

Yeah, not sure If I put them in the right way last time I had them out.

What I'll try first is positioning them so that the axle is pushed furthest back towards the rear.

When you start cussing trying to get the center bolt in the axle seat hole you will know they are in wrong. [emoji3]

The shorter portion goes to the back.
