94 DS speed question
I have a 94 Club Car , 36 volt with V glide and I have been reading other posts about changing settings and making them go faster. Can this be done with my older cart? This is a work/beater cart and I am not looking to spend alot, just get the most out of it.

Re: 94 DS speed question
Saltwater, I have a 94 DS myself. There are a couple thing you can do for not a whole lt of money. The first is to change the wiring in your cart to at least 4 ga. Be sure to use high srtand count welding cable. The current will flow more freely through the system and won't generate heat as bad under load. The change in performance may not be noticable though. The next would be to add an aftermarket controller. You will definatly be able to tell a difference in torque and maybe a few more mph with a higher amp controller. These aer two of the least expensive things I know of. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, I was planning on changing the wires cause they are looking ragged.

Re: 94 DS speed question
I have a bolt on aftermarket controller that would for sure give you more torque. I can let it go pretty cheap. I read in your other thread that you will be pulling trailers with the cart. It will really benifit you to install one.

Re: 94 DS speed question
V-glide doesn't have a controller, it has resistor coils. To install a controller you also need to put in a speed pot.

Re: 94 DS speed question
Some '94 CC came stock with V-Glide and a solid state controller as mine did. So not all are resistor carts.

Re: 94 DS speed question
Some 94s do have controller, when they came out with the 48v they eliminated the 36v controllers.. (not enough difference between the 2)
