Default POWER ON WITH KEY OFF/on..Please help

Hello All,

I have a 91 club car , 36V. V-Glide wiring setup..

The problem is with the key on or off the cart wants to go.. I took the key switch out and completely disconnected it ( Red Blue wires), the cart still wants to go... If I put the cart in forward it starts to go frward without applying throttle at all..

Where should I look for the issue?

Thanks for any help...

Ant...

Not really sure how to check it..

I did a continuity test between the two big terminals and there is continuity there. This is with the key switch not connected..

I think there should be none. Check voltage on each large post, I think you will find pack voltage.

This is a single solenoid setup right?

Replace the solenoid. Do you have another?

Tap the side of it and see if it releases. If it does, of course you will need to re-connect the key switch. (Do that anyway) If it does not release, it won't hurt to use as-is until you can get one. Just don't leave the pack mains connected for extended periods. And leave it in neutral when stopping.

Make sure cart is in neutral, or better yet rear wheels off the ground when doing these tests/procedures.

Even if solenoid releases I would still get a new one.

After you get the new solenoid I would check V-Glide adjustment.
