Default Pick my speed controller

Hi guys, So my stock controller in my 06 IQ is not working. I guess it no longer sends the negative signal to the relay. Im going to purchas a Alltrax from cartsunlimited to support a site sponsor. So my question is what controller I should get. I know my cart will have a lift kit along with bigger tires, I am also putting in a back seat to drive my kids around the neighborhood. I currently also have two chevy volt batteries powering my cart so it weighs significantly less than stock. thank for any advice!

I’d start with minimum of the XCT48400 IQ. Scotty is great and you won’t go wrong.

Go with 500. You never have too much power.

When I look at that one on the site the drop down menu doesn't show a option for a 06 IQ only 03-05. Would it still be plug and play?

What would I have to have to actually take advantage of the extra amperage? I don't think ill be upgrading motor any time.

I agree with mrgolf. You can turn down the 500 for your stock motor plus you get the cooling fan included. If you upgrade motors you have more amps available and can turn it up then.

I’ve done 300 amp controllers with the fan. You don’t need 500 amps for that.

The nice part of the XCT48500-IQ is it allows you growth down the road and it includes the fan which makes the cost negligible. With what you plan on doing to that cart, I would definitely get a 500 (I have them on all of mine) and then the maps will control it for whichever motor you have and you can max out down the road if/when needed.

I just purchased a brand new solenoid when figuring out what was wrong with my cart. Can I just order that xct500 and get the solenoid if I where to upgrade motor down the road?

Depends on the solenoid. What’s the amperage rating for it? It has little to do with the motor, and more to do with the controller.
