Default carry all 1 build

picked up a 2000 carryall one several months ago for $100. here is what im starting with. batterys are not even good for cores. and it wont stop

pulled off the rear wheels and found out why it wouldnt stop. there ar no brake hubs20180519_140719.jpg
pushed it on to my lift table and as the picks show this is full left and right turn. luckly i have a whole used front end to bolt in.(i know the springs upside down)

Looks like a good project. Any battery will work for a core. It doesn’t have to be good.

so i have a spare rear axle but it doesnt have the numbers on the housing. did carryalls have different rear axles then ds carts?

Looks like a Graziano, I think Kawasaki's were gone by '00....

Axles are all pretty much the same. Minor differences inside, but the ratios were the same for all electric carts as far as I know.

One 8v, two 6v, and two 12v?
Batteries should be fine for cores. Lead is lead. If your supplier is that picky find another one.

well if the rear axles are the same..ish. i guess ill pull the drums and swap them over. napa auto parts gave me some hastle over the cart batterys wieghing more then 12v and it not being the same. may have a lead on some used batterys. need to find a rear fender and maybe the the center panel used. oher wise the other fender wont match, and it will drive me nuts is this box a 48-12 reducer?

That is actually a factory 16v to 12v reducer and was designed to come off of the negative of battery #5.

I think Luke was just speaking general terms of it being a factory reducer.
