Default 1996 Club Car good deal?

I just bought a 96 electric Club Car, with a diamond plate dump bed. The cart also has a windshield, and has no damage to the body. The cart has a custom made 10 in lift. The lift is made from mainly stainless, and has a minor flaw in the steering design. The downfall is the cart has no batteries, so the price was only $350.00. This is my third cart my other two are Ezgo Marathons' , and I am totally new to the scene. I am wondering if this is a good deal and any other advice would be great. Also it has a 48volt motor in it.

Well if it doesnt work out, you can always sell the body and motor for more than $350 so yeah..its a good deal. Just be prepared to start dumping a lot of money into this new "toy" of yours. Its all good though

I will just got it home tonight. I am looking for the cheapest place to get batteries. The body of the cart is great, and the trim is good just showing its age with a little oxidation.

Nothing beats Trojans...but....I have been running Walmart batteries(made by Johnson controls) paid $80 each and have been happy with them. If you are not looking for the best of the best and dont need incredibly long run times--think about it. I have gone on 15+ mile trips with plenty of power to spare, and with my voltage robbing VGlide system--i feel thats pretty good.
Im sure there are other opinions out there--but just wanted to give you mine--Im happy with them.
