Default 2008 Precedent 48v wont move

Havent had my club car out in about 2 months but always kept the batteries charged. Pack read over 51 volts last night and drove about 100 yards before it came to a hault. Would barely move in forward and reverse. After trying to get it to back up (reverse seemed to work better than forward) it died all together. I could hear a faint click at the gas pedal when pressing it and the reverse buzzer would not sound when the rev toggle was pressed. I tried resetting the obc by doing the (key off, tow, - battery cable, hold the gas down for 30 sec etc but it did nothing. Reverse buzzer still didnt work. I thought maybe it was in the key switch so I popped off the cover. The back of the switch looked a little corroded so I cleaned it off..still no difference. I unplugged one of the harnesses (9 or 12 prong..I cant remember) and a bunch of the prongs were green with corrosion so I sprayed some battery terminal cleaner on it and plugged it in. As soon as I plugged it in, the reverse buzzer came on (but cart was in neutral). It would not go off until I put the cart back in tow...Any ideas as to what I did to my cart? Thanks in advance

Did you have it in "Tow" before unplugging the harness and/or using the battery cleaner and plugging it back in? (Which is really not the best choice for Molex or electrical connectors)

If you did not, well.....

I thought I had it in tow but I guess I didn’t. If I ruined the controller by doing that, I’m ok with replacing with a higher amp Alltrax. I just wish I knew if my controller was on its way out prior to using the cleaner spray and was the culprit to my issue. I have had zero issues with the cart prior to this. Earlier that day, the cart backed out of the garage just fine and I put a rear seat kit on it. Also, the rear brakes were dragging slightly. I can’t imagine they have anything to do with it

You can get a DVM and probe the 16 pin connector at the Controller and we will find out what's going on. With one wheel jacked up, use your DVM and place the Black probe on the pack Neg and then with it in the Run position, the key On, cart in Fwd, and Go Pedal depressed far enough to hear the microswitch click, take the Red probe and check to see if you have pack voltage in the following pins at the controller: Pin 5 - Lgt Blue, Pin 6 - Green, Pin 8 - Brown, Pin 9 - Grey, and Pin 10 - Tan.

I will try and probe the connector at the controller this evening. One odd thing to note, this morning when I let my dog out, the reverse buzzer was going off on the cart. I went out to see what was going on and the buzzer would only chime in reverse and the key on which I thought was good. However, the cart still would not move in either direction. I flipped the cart to tow, and the buzzer went off. I flipped it back to run, and the cart would no longer make the reverse buzzer. Not sure what that's related to.

Could be a myriad of things, but testing will tell....

UPDATE:

I found the culprit.. I didnt even have to check the voltage at the pins. The harness that plugs into the controller had a great bit of green corrosion on a few of the connectors. I put the cart in tow, and unhooked my main negative cable. After carefully cleaning the green corrosion build up on the connectors of the harness, and plugging it back in, the cart came back to life. Its almost like nothing ever happened.

I was hoping to have an excuse to buy a new controller but I guess it will have to wait.
