Parasitic lose while resetting OBC?
2007 sepex while doing reset (switch on tow)i reconnect pack and notice sparks?Is that a Module thats not in "sleep mode"?
decent size spark,so has to be amp draw?what amount of amp draw is acceptable?again these sparks/arc happens while in tow mode..thanks |

If You have a voltage reducer installed, that spark was caused by its filter capacitors charging.
You can use any small resistor (less than 250Ω) or a 60w incandescent bulb between the last cable and the battery post for a few seconds before placing the cable lug on the battery post. The resistance will provide a controlled current to charge the capacitors and there will be no spark when you connect the cable. |
