Default Parasitic lose while resetting OBC?

2007 sepex while doing reset (switch on tow)i reconnect pack and notice sparks?Is that a Module thats not in "sleep mode"?
decent size spark,so has to be amp draw?what amount of amp draw is acceptable?again these sparks/arc happens while in tow mode..thanks

If You have a voltage reducer installed, that spark was caused by its filter capacitors charging.

You can use any small resistor (less than 250Ω) or a 60w incandescent bulb between the last cable and the battery post for a few seconds before placing the cable lug on the battery post.

The resistance will provide a controlled current to charge the capacitors and there will be no spark when you connect the cable.

thanks Sergio,is that VR unit mounted on the upper windsheild frame near wiper motor?

cool idea and my chances of remembering this next time i unhook the batteries is NILL
