Default 2007 Club Car Charging Issue

I have read through the sticky and also some other threads but not sure I am finding my scenario, and trying to determine what is wrong. Batteries are new and are charged completely over 50. I have a battery meter to make sure I don’t run them out too low. When I go to charge I have to play around with the cable in the receptacle for it to click and charge. I do not see anything loose or corroded. The cables from the charger also seem fine. My thought was maybe the receptacle. However, charging might last 5 minutes or 1 hour but rarely more than that. I then have to mess with the cable in the receptacle and it comes on again. I have made sure the cable doesn’t move but it seems finicky. Not sure what to test first...

Thanks in advance

Sometimes the cable end has a frayed wire inside. Usually it's the grey sense wire on the back of the charge receptacle has corroded. Check it for corrosion or fraying, and give the wire a little tug and see if it falls out. If it does replace the receptacle.

Replaced the receptacle and still the same issue. Any more ideas? Wish I had another charger to see if that is causing the issue, but I do not.

Your cable end is likely molded, but they do make ends you can change it or the whole cable.
