Unhappy All New Setup .... only moves in one direction

Looking for some troubleshooting help. I have an all new setup as follows:

1992 Club Car DS 36 volt

C64 Conversion Kit from ScottyB with ...
--Alltrax SR 48600
--SW 202 F&R switch
--400a Coil
--All new 2g welding wires

New AMD High Speed motor

I have everything installed and wired up but it will only go forward. When switching to reverse the coil and F&R Relay will all click but no movement. If i swap the wire at the F&R Relay it will work in Reverse but only make clicking noises when switched to Forward.

I have a multi-meter and know how to use it ... just new to golf cart mods and need help troubleshooting. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I sent this document in reply to your email also.
If there is a problem with the high amperage contacts on one side return the unit for service or replacement.

i pulled the 4 2g wires and tested across the top of the relays. Both relays engage and have continuity across the top post when engaged.

When dis-engaged neither has continuity across the top posts so i think they are fine.

Should probably forgo the emails and post the troubleshooting info here for everyone's benefit.

What You are describing can also happen if the cables are not going to the correct locations in both the Controller and Motor.

Double check not only the cables are on the correct locations on the Reversing Contactors, but that they also go to the correct locations on the other end.

Yes ... alltrax M- goes to motor A1

Strange thing. I've been emailing ScottyB and he had me remove the reversing contactor diodes and it working in forward and reverse now ???

So the clicking sound You mentioned was coming from the Main Solenoid and not the Reversing contactor?

If You can post a picture of the side of the Reversing Contactor showing how the diodes were installed it may help other members in the future.

Both the main solenoid and the reversing contactor were clicking. I cant get the camera down to get a picture but the diode banded end (+) was connected to the top terminal and the negative was connected to the bottom. it was setup like the diagram on the top of page 7 in the instructions that came with the kit.

If the diode was shorted or installed backwards it would have prevented the Contactor from energizing and closing, but there is no way it was clicking.

As long as the positive activation wire is on the same side as the diode band, it does not matter top or bottom.
