Default Unexpected motor upgrade

95 CC DS 48V. I did the guide ring on the motor to quite it down. Not even a week later the motor started making terrible noise. Then came Friday it just seized and split the cover on the back of the motor. Maybe I did something to it when I replaced the guide ring who knows this cart was used and abused by the previous owner. So I contacted Dave got some info about doing a motor upgrade. Talked to my brother and wife about what I should do. Get a another cart or replace the motor and then my generous very generous brother surprised me with an upgrade motor kit and lift kit from buggies unlimited. Just got everything installed today and everything works great. But I have one issue I have no reverse. I don’t know what I have done wrong but I can cruise in forwards very easily just reverse. I have searched this site found some info but has left me very confused. I know everything is wire correctly from the wire diagrams I have found. Here is what I have done.

Has mcor conversion
The kit included
Curtis 1205M controller
Albright solenoid
Beefed up forwards and reverse switch

Maybe someone can help shed some light or point me in the right direction

Not sure if this will help for the reverse situation but it might.
You need to have the large cable on the solenoid first and then the smaller ones on top and then the nut.
I would replace those smaller terminals also as the crimps may be causing some connection issue.

Ok I will try that. One thing I did forgot to mention was when it is in reverse the buzzer is on and when the pedal is pushed the solenoid clicks.

Are you saying this "kit" included the motor too?

Re-check the cables on the motor and FNR.

Yea triple checked everything.

Now I don’t get any movement at all no forward or reverse and the solenoid doesn’t make any clicks. Now I am really confused and lost.

So close but 2 steps backwards ugh need this cart for work.

Now I'm confused. You had a 48v series with multi step pot.

What do you have now?

I still have a 48V series with the mcor 4 conversion.

Not sure what you mean by step pot

I don’t know if I need to do something with the pedal. I haven’t touched it since I posted yesterday still sitting on jack stands
