Default 2003 DS, how many amps can stock motor pull?

Just as the title says. I’m looking to add a voltage and current meter on my cart. I have no plans to upgrade the motor or controller. What size shunt should I be looking for?

Thanks

The stock Controller is good for a little over 200 amps, so a 300 amps shunt will be plenty.

Thanks! I’m looking into adding a voltage and current meter to the cart. Might even get some harbor freight solar panels and a charge controller over the winter.

Without question install a voltage meter as its as vital as a gas gauge on your car, but if you have no plans to upgrade motor or controller why bother the the expense and complexity of adding an amp meter? Its quite easy to utilize the volt meter as a make shift power meter, the lower the volts while accelerating the more load your pulling...

While everyone uses their carts differently I all but regret installing a power converter and power outlets...

It’s just nice to know what’s going on. I already have an analog battery meter, I prefer digital and want to add a current meter.

I really would love to have a a meter for each individual battery voltage.
