Default 36V FNR switch question

I'm in the process of doing A 36v to 48v conversion on my 93 DS. after some searching around i read on another post that upgrading the 36v FNR switch wasn't necessary because the 36v carts had high amperage running through it than the 48v carts. no one said that it wasn't true on the other thread. maybe they were running a lower amperage controller? im going with an alltrax 48500 so assuming i will need to upgrade but don't want to if i don't have to..

Default Re: 36V FNR switch question

I’d upgrade to an HD FNR switch or reversing contactor. It will melt with a 500 amp controller.
