Default Electric motor H.P.

Mornin,....

I bought a new FSIP 221-48Vspeedcc electric motor.

It is 4KW but no H.P. on the name plate.

Seller (dealer) claims a little over 9 H.P.

Factory claims a little over 5 H.P.

Is there a math formula to figer this out??

Thank's

I'd say the factory is correct at ~5.3hp...

I agree. 5.3 hp. 9 hp is peak.

Current Club Car Tempo, Precedent, and Onward factory motor is 2.5 KW which is 3.3HP and a claimed 13HP peak. (Club Car supplied data).

Well.... I can't really say. I drove the cart when I picked it up at the shop and it spun the tires in the gravel parking lot.

But I've been sic with a bad cold ever since I got it home.

I finally tracked down a GPS but it has also been raining everyday.

I had new batteries installed so it all has to be broken in.

The shop said they got 24mph out of it. I hope so.

That's with 12" wheels and 19.5 tires.

ScottyB fixed me up with the Alltrax 400 amp controller, wires, sol, volt meter, and 3 position key switch.

It all started out as a grand-kids project, then I fell into a rabbit hole.

I got to check the speed today with a GPS. This is with motor FSIP 221-48VSPEED CC.

I'm not seeing a good speed? Only 18MPH. Maybe I'm expecting too much?

How long does a new motor and battery break-in take? Will that get it to the magic 22-24 MPH?

So many questions and too many hands in the pot. Not a happy camper.....

Assuming You have an Alltrax XCT Controller, make sure the shop that installed the motor has also installed the correct FSIP Motor Field map in the Alltrax Controller.
