Default XCT Alltrax500 controller and the ______ motor?

I know i have been beating you guys up with this motor questions. It’s just that it’s important to get this rite on the first shot. So my cart is a 2014 precident 6’’ lift 23’’ tires 500a alltrax. I live in Pennsylvania so there is hills lots of them. I am looking for a motor that will give me at least 25mph and still do a decent speed up hill. The AMD 7144 is what i keep looking at or maybe the mot-4 and there were a couple others i was looking at but I don’t understand the numbers. It’s not like a gas motor where you go for the highest horse power. There is no one i even know that has a souped up electric cart around here to test drive. Driving another cart with the 500a controller and multiple aftermarket motors would be sure way to decide. The money is really not an issue. So if it was a free motor of your choice what would you fill in the blank with. XCT 500 controller 23’’ tires 6’’ a-arm lift and the _______ motor for off-road and hills. Thanks again for reading my post and sorry for being a pain in the a$$. Jerry

I have the 7144 motor with a 350 controller and speed magnet. I'm sure there are other motors just as good or maybe better, but I don't know what I would do with an extra 150 amps. I'm happy with my set up. We have a few hill in eastern Ky.

When looking at the MOT A4 some claim to be 12.3 hp and others are 14 hp. Is this the different between a 36v and a 48v cart. Or is there something different about the motor.

But you wouldn't here either. In a gas motor you would be looking at the torque curve to accomplish your goal. Here you want torque, but with a 500XCT you are going to have a LOT of torque, you just need to pick a motor that will stand up to your usage.

I'm stuck on what motor to use also !!! 2003 DS IQ, MadJax 600 amp torque controller with on fly controls, 2 gauge cables, 400 amp solenoid, 22 in tires 4 in lift. I'm leaning toward the 7144 but then I read this and start second guessing LOl

I have a '14 Precedent with XCT500, 6" lift, and 22" tires. I installed a PQ Executioner motor a couple of weeks ago. Am now getting about 30 mph on flat roads and gained about 4 mph going uphill. Pretty happy with it so far.
