Charging must not be on Tow?
04 CC DS. So I read here that when charging the cart must be on "Run" and not "Tow"?

Re: Charging must not be on Tow?
Hello dufferbeem and Welcome to the forum.
It may be in the manuals, but I have never fliped that switch unless I am working on the cart. I don't know anybody else that does either. Never had any troubles doing it this way. Some of the others will input on this too. |

Re: Charging must not be on Tow?
Thanks for the reply good people. I asked because I read two different comments from electric owners stating the opposite thought on each. One said it should be on "Tow". The other said on "Run". I will say that previously, when it was left on "Tow", the garage had the egg smell. This morning I plugged it in on "Run" at 0100 AM. Right now at 0630 the smell is not there and the batts are fully charged. I'm open to further comment. This sight is pretty dang awesome. Makes a guy want to support the sponsors.

Re: Charging must not be on Tow?
I always flip the switch to tow when it charging, although it's not really required!
Per the owners manual: Quote:
I'm going to continue to turn it to tow, but, that's just me! |

Re: Charging must not be on Tow?
I've never turn it to tow, until otherwise proven, but, that's just me! (to lazy)

Re: Charging must not be on Tow?
Run = Use & Charge
Tow = Off, Store or Work on electrical/other Middle position = No such thing as middle position! |

Re: Charging must not be on Tow?
Before run tow switch you just plugged in so can not see why they would make this a requirement when they put them in.

Re: Charging must not be on Tow?
Thanks folks. Sounds like "to each is own". I like Scubabud's simple analogy.
Run = Use & Charge Tow = Off, Store or Work on electrical/other Middle position = No such thing as middle position! |
