Default time to break out the snow brush

sadly, it's that time of year again
came out to see 2 inches of that fluffy white stuff on the cart and soon remembered the s*** brush was in the barn.
cold hands now

also realized 500 feet of circular driveway... not staked, dang it
time to break out the cordless hammer drill to punch thru frozen dirt

s*** is a 4 letter word

I hear ya! Hope you have all your crops off and any fall plowing done, and barn ready for cattle to come in for the winter. Can get real nasty once the snow stays. My cousin in Prince Edward Island is helping a neighbor harvest his 1500 acres of potatoes. Mud is incredible there, as he's driving a 'dozer to pull trucks through [and out] of the field! They sure don't want snow!

I don’t want to think about snow yet! Winter storm warning here for Thursday. High of 37F and winds out of the northeast means were likely to get some combination of snow, rain, and ice. It was just summer three weeks ago. :(

We got dumped on early this year near Calgary ... we had 12 to 16" of snow on Oct. 2. It took a few weeks for that snow to melt before harvesting could resume but it dried up and combines got to finish up before winter really set in.

We now have about 4" of snow ... not quite enough to chain up the Cushman for but that day is coming soon.

The last photo is a fall sunset over the Rockies ... we have been to Maui a few times and people would gather by the pool at night and oooh and aaahh over the sun setting into the ocean (on a clear day). I personally prefer a sunset over the Rockies. Or a morning sunrise when "the Rockies turn rose" ... a line in an Ian Tyson song.
