Default Voltage reducer?Do i need one?

Recently purchased a 2014 Club Car 48 v. I saw someone selling a “voltage reducer” .I plan on adding a light bar and other accessories. Do I need to use a voltage reducer or will the accessories work with 16 v. , from two 8 v. Batteries? Thanks for the help. Also, does anyone have a link for an inexpensive mod to set factory Codes for engine speed/torque , etc?

I would definitely use a 48-12 reducer. It will save your batteries long term.

You definitely need a voltage converter to prevent a battery pack imbalance.

Get a voltage reducer as well as a blue sea fuse block with built in bus bar similar to one below. wire voltage reducer output to fuse block. It will keep all your wiring neat and organized. I usually place them under the dash and so I don't have to run wires very long at all besides the power and ground.
