Default 2008 club cart moves then loses power

I have a 2008 club car ds I just put brand new batteries. It runs for about 50 feet or so then loses all power let of the pedal and push it it starts back up checked all connections even on the motor what could it be

Do you hear a "click" from the solenoid in the back of the car when you first press the accelerator?

Yes also I can put it up on jacks and it will run for a long time but put it back on ground and me in it and it does this

Sounds like low voltage. Have you checked the battery pack voltage with a multimeter?

No i do not have one They are brand new batteries not saying that couldn’t be the problem but I will get one and check

Check the voltage and post results.

Just test from the positive of the first battery to the negative of the last one headed to get meter

That is enough at 80% it should not be doing that, but to be safe, I would fully charge them and try again.

Just tested at the motor with motor engaged and had 48 volts at motor
