Friend going to buy these batteries
https://www.amazon.com/Sealed-Golf-C.../dp/B00BSEPJM6
12v gel deep cycle rechargeable gel batteries. We just drive around neighborhood. Flat area. I argued AmpH were so low may not go long between charges. Reviews really talk these up. Why wouldn't he want to buy these? |

Re: Friend going to buy these batteries
Those are for walking golf bag carts I believe. I don’t think they’d be sufficient for heavy carts or last very long.

Totally NFG. Please advise him against it.
Trojan, US Batteries, Crown are common choices.... |

Re: Friend going to buy these batteries
Amp hours are WAY too low!!
If he buys these for a kiddies cart, they might work. If he buys these for a golf cart, he will "be throwing good money after bad" because once he buys these junk batteries, he will have to pony up for some real ones. |

Re: Friend going to buy these batteries
THese are all the same things I said. But then you look at the reviews and people are using them on golf carts and they say they are great. I don't believe reviews but, explain to me in a way I need to talk him out of.

Friend going to buy these batteries
I don’t believe that for a minute. Those are like $13 powersport batteries in my opinion... not even deep cycle

Re: Friend going to buy these batteries
Your friend is thinking of buying batteries meant for "power caddies" or "golf trolleys". People wrongly call them golf carts. I'm sure it is excellent for people who own these (photo below). Thus the good reviews. As indicated above - what we call a golf cart (AKA golf car) demands tons of amperage. The 5 feet estimate is pretty darn close to exactly how far they will go before stopping.
