01 48v ds won’t move.
I have a 01 ds 48v cart with new batteries. The wiper switch mount broke when I put the batteries in. I replaced the wiper switch and when you slide the wiper a selinoid in the rear of the cart clicks but doesn’t move..

Check the orientation of your batteries and cables. Make sure the wiper is making good contact.
Do this and anything else with the rear wheels off the ground. It may take off. |

Re: 01 48v ds won’t move.
I assume the slide you are referencing is the v-glide (potentiometer). If this is the case, there are resistors on the back you may have damaged.
The click in the back of the cart is your main solenoid closing in, but you have to get a signal to the controller to make it move. You need to go through the v-glide and check it all out. Look at these. |

Re: 01 48v ds won’t move.
It could have been set up different, but if you look closely at mine you will see one is broken right at the porcelain. If you are not making contact at the pad or the resistors are blown/broken, you will not get a throttle signal to the controller.....
You can also check the signal on the Yellow wire which goes to Pin 3 on the controller. |

Re: 01 48v ds won’t move.
That is a 0Ω resistor or just a piece of wire.
It is a good safety design and ensures a zero throttle when the micro-switch closes. I cannot tell if You had the wires disconnected from the MultiStep VGlide, but if they are connected, the micro-switch is not wired correctly. You need to use the N.C. contact of the switch which is not connected to anything in the second picture. |

Re: 01 48v ds won’t move.
The micro-switch wires go on the COM and NC terminals which are the ones on the outside, nothing is connected to the middle terminal.
Electrically it makes no difference which wires goes in either terminal. Best practice wiring is to place the Blue wire on the N.C. and the Green wire on the COM terminal. |
