On board charger location
Just updated a 93 DS 36v to a 48v with all new electronics. My question is where are you guys installing onboard chargers. I purchased a Summit II onboard charger but havn't decided where to mount it. I have the body off so I am thinking about a bracket between the motor and the controller under the body/seat. Havn't checked my clearance yet though. Don't see much about it on here.

I mounted mine behind the batteries, in front of the motor.

Mines in the bagwell, I don't golf and the rear seat never comes off so no loss. I originally had it mounted behind the center two batteries (6-8v) but when I did alltrax and bigger solenoid, I moved it to the bagwell so I could move the controller and solenoid to that side of the mount plate for access without removing the rear seat. Ill have to check my messages. The motor was toast. It was underwater for some time and was rusted onto the shaft. I beat the hell out of it to get it off. Good for scrap now.
