What is this?
In the process of replacing cables, solenoid, and FNR and took this off the cable going from old solenoid to positive on battery pack. What is it, what it do, really good, or not necessary, or useless?

Re: What is this?
It’s a fuse, and yes, you need it. Clean the terminals lightly and put it back in the position it was originally installed.
You can order new ones through some of our site sponsors or several other online sources if you’d like to replace it for operational/aesthetic reasons. |

Re: What is this?
It is for controller protection. 200ANN for 300a and lower. and a 400ANN for 400a and up controllers. I do NOT like mounting them freely at the battery or in-line with a cable. It is just too flimsy. Get a quality fuse holder and mount it in line with your Positive cable. You can see mine in-line with the red cable going to my solenoid.
