Default 03 48v club car AQ won't go forward or reverse

I bought this 03 AQ 48v CC used from someone who said all it needed was batteries. I personally have never seen it run. The seller said it ran great but batteries were shot. I put a new set of batteries in it. I have 52v across the set. I cleaned and checked all the cables. All are good and tight. When I put it in reverse I get a buzzing sound. When I press the pedal in forward or reverse I hear 4 clicks about a second apart. sometimes one of the rear tires will move slightly. PLEASE HELP! I'm trying to get it going for Christmas.

If you didn't put the cart in tow before you started working with it you could have blown controller. I'm not sure the buzzer would work if it was bad, so the mcor may not be getting contact. Try turning everything off and mash the pedal about 50 times. If that changes anything it may be the problem.

When the tires just pulse forward instead of spinning forward (or reverse) it indicates the controller is powered up but the solenoid is not closed (activated)
The solenoid should have the same pack 50v between the 2 small posts when the key on, in gear, pedal down. And at that time it will click. You should not hear 4 clicks. This may indicate the solenoid closing and opening repeatedly???
Double check your wiring.

I mashed the pedal like you suggested. It had no effect at all.

With the key off I have 50v on both the big post of the solenoid and nothing o. the small ones. With the key on I have 50v on both large and small without the pedal pressed.

I have disconnected the yellow wire and the pre-charge resistor from the solenoid. When the pedal is pressed I get no click or voltage on the other big terminal. I can take the small (-) wire off and put a jumper wire to the main neg ground and I get a click and voltage on the other big post .I took both the (+) and the (-) small wires off the solenoid and checked the voltage there. I only get 28.6.

I don't know what I did. I'll put everything back together and it started working. I hate intermittent problems. Anybody got any guesses what it could have been?

I hate intermittent problems as well! It could have been as simple as a loose connection...

You have probably reset the obc unhooking the wires on the solenoid or there was a bad connection there.Hard to tell now that it’s workin.
