Default 2010 precedent surging

Bought a new to me 2010 precedent limo Cart a few weeks ago. Haven’t done anything with it since I bought it other than drive it for about 10 minutes and change out a couple battery cables that looked rough. Went to go move it today for a Christmas present and it will barely move and is surging. It been off the charger for a few weeks.but has a newer set of batteries. Meter reads about 3/4 full. Is it possible I ruin something on swapping the cables out I didn’t cross anything but they did spark when I touch the terminals? Or is it possible something else is wrong with this car when I bought it and just am now finding out

Make sure you have a full charge. Low pack voltage amongst other things can cause surging.

Yes, definitely needs charging before any further diagnosing can be done. You should charge your batteries after every use and when not in use, it should be plugged in. (It is an automatic charger)

So far so good. Plugged in over night and has been fine for a couple of short trips today. Gotta figure out why the battery gauge was still reading 3/4 full if the batteries were dead

Honestly, they are junk and comparable to an idiot light in an automobile. Get you a good quality battery meter so you always know your state of charge....

And when the cart is not in use, it should be plugged in....
