There is a bunch of discussions about them on the link below. I have not seen anything on the forum yet from anyone who has bought them.

Depending on the charging applications for these batteries, they could change the battery game for carts. Trojan is claiming no need for alternative style chargers and they will, work with most stock chargers. Not that I believe that. Nor will I believe that a Club Car OBC will work with these, but if they do, it’s going to raise eyebrows.

5000 plus charge cycles plus a longer steady output, without a full, conversion kit necessary etc. or having to jack parts from a cheap Nissan Leaf..... Ummm..... Yes......waiter, I’ll take 6 please. All 6.

The Trojan Li became available a couple weeks ago. Physical size is the same as a short T-105. Trojan is working on mounting options (spacers, blocks) for different applications. I have fitted them into an RXV, but have no final retail price as of yet. Will be close to $1K/batt to start with. Yes, approx $4K for a 48 volt pack.

I'm not here often, but if you have any Questions, I'll try to help.

Thanks for the info Mike.

At that price I will not be an early adopter (though I realise how the initial ones are going to be expensive until economy of scale starts kicking in to cover development costs etc.)

How's the weight?

Mike, Do you believe that these batteries have a shelf life / functioning life span to justify the price? If these batteries were to last say 10 years, which one could argue that you might replace 4 sets of batteries in 10 years at 700 a pop, the difference would be 1200 dollars over that period more for the Trojans. If that was coupled with a longer AH life per charge, or better performance maybe the cost could be justified.

If someone's replacing 4 sets of batteries in 10 years, they need an in service on maintenance.

Leaf batteries came with a 10 year warranty from the factory when new, so I wouldn't think it'd be a stretch to say we could get 10 years out of a used pack on our carts at a fourth of the price of these Trojans.

I've been on this site a few years and haven't seen one person come back yet and say they needed to replace their Leaf pack. I know of a couple of guys that have been using them for 4 years or more and say they're still holding a charge and getting the same mileage on a charge as they did on day one.
