Default Anyone have optimum Torque settings for A DS/Alltrax SR 500amp?

I’ve been playing with the tool box, but still feel I don’t have the setting just right for my needs. Alltrax 500, AMD Beast Motor. I set it to the torque curve, and moved the curve line linear with the speed line. I just don’t see much difference between the standard speed curve and the custom torque curve I’ve set.

For this time of year I just want the absolute most torque possible. I can take a screen shot of how it’s set now. Just looking for some suggestions as I honestly don’t completely understand the differences the curves make.

It does fine, just need to know exactly what I’m setting it at, and how to further tweek once I understand it

You describe a curve with a slower (reduced) torque development than default.
Electric motors develop their maximum torque quickly when they start turning.
Most specs say max torque is 0 rpms. What they mean is the motor produces less torque the faster it spins.
You can set a very steep torque line for max torque through out the use like the sample shown below.

Thats interesting, I would have thought you would use the torque setting and tweak the numbers on that, good info.

The table data shown is for the Speed curve (red line), the torque curve (blue line) data is not displayed but you can look at the graph for estimation.

copy that, was wondering what the data showed for torque / how many points are set.

bumping this thread. Im confused on the speed torque curve with a series motor. are they limiting the current over the range?

I just installed an alltrax and it had way too much torque off the line for my liking. Pedal down 20% and it put you in the back of the seat. I adjusted the torque down as you described so it’s more in line with the speed curve and it’s much better now. So for more torque I’d say you want it more like the setting pictured above where the torque is at Max very early(this is how mine was set from the start).
