Default Hello EV1 Solenoid Chatter

Hello EV1! I have a Carryall 1 and I have a problem with the solenoid chattering when I step on the go pedal. There are red and yellow wires to activate the solenoid. I get 48+ volts thru the red wire when I depress the go pedal ( which is saying microswitch is OK). Yellow wire I assume is the grd side but I am unable to find where the grd is completed! If I ground the yellow side of the solenoid and press on the go pedal it activates the solenoid and does not chatter.
Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks, john

Your on board computer has two functions.. 1. it charges the car. 2. it prevents you from driving when charger is plugged in.

The yellow wire runs through that computer. If jumping that wire to the negative post makes it work, and no one will drive off with the car plugged in. That is an acceptable temporary solution. I say temporary, because typically the other side of the computer is soon to follow.

p.s.-- don't any voltage through your frame on an electric car...

I am not sure what electrical system you have in your cart, but in mine (2000 DS 48 Volt) the yellow comes off of the solenoid and into the speed controller so I am not sure it is technically a ground.
